okay so,
my mom is away on a trip for two weeks,
and im in charge of the cooking!.
i can cook pretty well,
but i dont have any ideas!.
im allergic to raw eggs, basil, and cilantro,
and my sister hates pudding of all sorts!.
i would really appreciate it if the meals were
somewhat easy to cook,
and are warm foods!.

You have some good suggestions here already!.Don't forget the hot cereal!.It comes in ready to use packages,just mix with hot water in the micro-wave!.Many flavors and is good!.

We are two grown ups and we don't cook breakfast because we buy frozen Pillsbury pancakes, and frozen Aunt Jamima French Toast!. Follow the directions on the boxes!. The pancakes go into the microwave and the french toast goes into the toaster!. Just put butter and syrup on them and you have a great breakfast!. You find them in the grocery stores freezer section!. Ask a clerk to help you find them!.

Make the hot chocolate:
In a medium saucepan, heat 4 cups of the milk over low heat, being very careful not to let the milk boil!. In a small bowl, mix together the cocoa, sugar, and the remaining 1/2 cup milk!. Add the cocoa mixture to the warm milk, and continue to warm the cocoa until hot!.
Pour into 4 mugs and serve along with the garnishes!.
For the hot chocolate bar:
On a large serving tray, arrange the mugs of hot chocolate, a small pitcher of espresso shots, a bowl of crumbled toffee candy bar, a bowl of mini-marshmallows, and a bowl of Cinnamon-Sugar!. Invite your guests to flavor and garnish their hot chocolate as they desire!.
Cinnamon-Sugar:
1 vanilla bean
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Cut the vanilla bean in half, lengthwise!. Using the back of a knife, scrape along the inside of the vanilla bean to collect the seeds!. Scrape vanilla bean seeds into a small bowl!. Add sugar and cinnamon and stir to combine!. Set aside in a small serving bowl!.

2 cups mascarpone cheese
1 tablespoon heavy cream
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest (from 1 lemon)
2 cups mixed berries
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F!. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper!.
Using a rolling pin, roll out the pizza dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch!. Transfer the pizza dough to the lined baking sheet and brush the dough with the melted butter!. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons Cinnamon-Sugar and bake until golden brown, about 10 to 15 minutes!. Cool the pizza crust on a wire rack!.
Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, mix together the cheese, cream, lemon juice, and zest!.
Spread the cheese mixture over the cooled crust!. Top with mixed berries and sprinkle with the remaining Cinnamon-Sugar!. Slice like a pizza and serve!.

A couple pinches salt
1 cup shredded Asiago cheese, available in specialty cheese case
A generous grating fresh nutmeg
1 egg beaten with a splash water
1 teaspoon sugar
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F!.
Combine biscuit mix, black pepper, cream, salt, cheese and nutmeg!. Pile mixture into 4 large mounds or 8 small mounds onto a nonstick cookie sheet!. Brush scones with egg wash, sprinkle with a little sugar and bake for 10 to 12 minutes for large scones, 7 to 8 minutes for small scones!.

2 pounds pork butt (2 1/2 pounds with bone), diced into 1/4-inch pieces
1/2 pound fat back, diced into 1/4-inch pieces
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh sage leaves
2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh rosemary leaves
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Special equipment: meat grinder
Combine diced pork with all other ingredients and chill for 1 hour!. Using the fine blade of a grinder, grind the pork!. Form into 1-inch rounds!. Refrigerate and use within 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months!. For immediate use, saute patties over medium-low heat in a non-stick pan!. Saute until brown and cooked through, approximately 10 to 15 minutes!.

1/3 cup mango chutney, any large chunks chopped
1/4 cup apple juice or 3 tablespoons water with 1 tablespoon light or dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons yellow or brown mustard
1 tablespoon white or cider vinegar
12 thick slices bacon (about 3/4 pound)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F!. Stir the chutney, juice, mustard, and vinegar together in a small bowl!. Arrange the bacon in a single layer on a baking sheet!. Bake the bacon until it begins to look opaque and the fat begins to render, 10 to 12 minutes!. Pour off any accumulated drippings!. Turn over the bacon and brush about 1/2 of the glaze on the bacon!. Return the bacon to the oven and cook for 3 to 4 minutes longer!. Remove the bacon from the oven and turn it over again!. Brush it with the remaining glaze and return it to the oven for 3 to 5 minutes, until well browned and firm!. (With the glaze coating the bacon gets chewy and crunchy but stays short of crisp!.) If you want to drain the bacon, do it on a rack rather than on paper towels to avoid wiping off the glaze!. Serve warm!.

2 tablespoons strawberry preserves
1 tablespoon orange zest
French Toast:
4 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons orange liqueur (recommended: Grand Marnier)
8 slices Texas Toast style bread, challah, or other thick-sliced bread
Butter
1 recipe Strawberry Cream Cheese Sauce, recipe follows
In a small mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, strawberry preserves, and orange zest until smooth!. Set aside!.
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and orange liqueur!. Pour into a shallow bowl, such as a pie plate!. Set aside!.
With a pairing knife, slice a pocket into the side of the bread!. Do not cut all of the way through the bread!. Fill bread slices with a heaping spoonful of cream cheese mixture!.
In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter!. Dip the filled bread in the egg mixture and place in the skillet to brown on both sides, about 1 to 2 minutes per side!. Repeat with remaining slices!.
Serve hot with additional Strawberry Cream Cheese on the side!.
Strawberry Cream Cheese Sauce:
1 cup frozen strawberries, thawed
1 pint sour cream
2 tablespoons orange liqueur (recommended: Grand Marnier)
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon honey
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
Add all ingredients to a blender and pulse to combine!.

1/2 pound sweet Italian sausage, cut into 2-inch pieces
1 red pepper, cored and cut into 1-inch squares
1/4 pound pancetta, cubed
1/2 cup pineapple cubes, fresh or canned
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F!.
Thread the skewers starting with the sausage, then the red pepper, then the pancetta, then the pineapple!. Each skewer should have 2 of these sets!. Continue with the rest of the skewers!.

Using a rolling pin, roll out the pizza dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch!. Transfer the pizza dough to the lined baking sheet and brush the dough with the melted butter!. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons Cinnamon-Sugar and bake until golden brown, about 10 to 15 minutes!. Cool the pizza crust on a wire rack!.
Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, mix together the cheese, cream, lemon juice, and zest!.
Spread the cheese mixture over the cooled crust!. Top with mixed berries and sprinkle with the remaining Cinnamon-Sugar!. Slice like a pizza and serve!.
Cinnamon-Sugar:
1 vanilla bean
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Cut the vanilla bean in half, lengthwise!. Using the back of a knife, scrape along the inside of the vanilla bean to collect the seeds!. Scrape vanilla bean seeds into a small bowl!. Add sugar and cinnamon and stir to combine!. Set aside in a small serving bowl!.

1/2 cup cream
A couple pinches salt
1 cup shredded Asiago cheese, available in specialty cheese case
A generous grating fresh nutmeg
1 egg beaten with a splash water
1 teaspoon sugar
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F!.
Combine biscuit mix, black pepper, cream, salt, cheese and nutmeg!. Pile mixture into 4 large mounds or 8 small mounds onto a nonstick cookie sheet!. Brush scones with egg wash, sprinkle with a little sugar and bake for 10 to 12 minutes for large scones, 7 to 8 minutes for small scones!.

2 pounds pork butt (2 1/2 pounds with bone), diced into 1/4-inch pieces
1/2 pound fat back, diced into 1/4-inch pieces
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh sage leaves
2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh rosemary leaves
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Special equipment: meat grinder
Combine diced pork with all other ingredients and chill for 1 hour!. Using the fine blade of a grinder, grind the pork!. Form into 1-inch rounds!. Refrigerate and use within 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months!. For immediate use, saute patties over medium-low heat in a non-stick pan!. Saute until brown and cooked through, approximately 10 to 15 minutes!.

1/3 cup mango chutney, any large chunks chopped
1/4 cup apple juice or 3 tablespoons water with 1 tablespoon light or dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons yellow or brown mustard
1 tablespoon white or cider vinegar
12 thick slices bacon (about 3/4 pound)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F!. Stir the chutney, juice, mustard, and vinegar together in a small bowl!. Arrange the bacon in a single layer on a baking sheet!. Bake the bacon until it begins to look opaque and the fat begins to render, 10 to 12 minutes!. Pour off any accumulated drippings!. Turn over the bacon and brush about 1/2 of the glaze on the bacon!. Return the bacon to the oven and cook for 3 to 4 minutes longer!. Remove the bacon from the oven and turn it over again!. Brush it with the remaining glaze and return it to the oven for 3 to 5 minutes, until well browned and firm!. (With the glaze coating the bacon gets chewy and crunchy but stays short of crisp!.) If you want to drain the bacon, do it on a rack rather than on paper towels to avoid wiping off the glaze!. Serve warm!.

8 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons strawberry preserves
1 tablespoon orange zest
French Toast:
4 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons orange liqueur (recommended: Grand Marnier)
8 slices Texas Toast style bread, challah, or other thick-sliced bread
Butter
1 recipe Strawberry Cream Cheese Sauce, recipe follows
In a small mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, strawberry preserves, and orange zest until smooth!. Set aside!.
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and orange liqueur!. Pour into a shallow bowl, such as a pie plate!. Set aside!.
With a pairing knife, slice a pocket into the side of the bread!. Do not cut all of the way through the bread!. Fill bread slices with a heaping spoonful of cream cheese mixture!.
In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter!. Dip the filled bread in the egg mixture and place in the skillet to brown on both sides, about 1 to 2 minutes per side!. Repeat with remaining slices!.
Serve hot with additional Strawberry Cream Cheese on the side!.
Strawberry Cream Cheese Sauce:
1 cup frozen strawberries, thawed
1 pint sour cream
2 tablespoons orange liqueur (recommended: Grand Marnier)
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon honey
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
Add all ingredients to a blender and pulse to combine!.

8 bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
1/2 pound sweet Italian sausage, cut into 2-inch pieces
1 red pepper, cored and cut into 1-inch squares
1/4 pound pancetta, cubed
1/2 cup pineapple cubes, fresh or canned
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F!.
Thread the skewers starting with the sausage, then the red pepper, then the pancetta, then the pineapple!. Each skewer should have 2 of these sets!. Continue with the rest of the skewers!.
