Can you use tomato sauce instead of tomato paste in a recipe?!

Question: Can you use tomato sauce instead of tomato paste in a recipe!?
Answers:
You could but some brands of tomato sauce have added ingrediants - like vinegar, sugar and so on - whereas tomato paste is just tomatoes made into a paste!.You must know that they taste completely different due to that but if it tastes alright to you go ahead!
You can read the ingrediants of tomato sauce on the bottle!.So long as the tomato paste is not a main part of the recipe it should be alright but I wouldn't do it personally!.

Tomato sauce is basically diluted tomato paste!.!.!.!. so if your recipe calls for liquid too, you'd need to adjust it!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Absolutely!. In fact, I much prefer it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Using sauce would change the texture --- it would not be as thick --- but the taste woud be the same to most peopleWww@FoodAQ@Com

Yes - just cut back the amount of water or stock that you add by 1/2!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Definitely - it will be a little more runny but it's basically the same thing except more liquid!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
