No don't boil water in a plastic bowl it will melt and come through the bottom it's pretty risky it might burn you when you reach in to grab it go to the thrief store and get a glass bowl it will probibly run you a buck or so it's worth it, that way you have the right stuff to use and not run the risk of getting hurt!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not really if it's for cooking or drinking - they say that plastic leaches toxins that are very unhealthy!.
