How do I roast a lamb leg in an electric oven?!

Question: How do I roast a lamb leg in an electric oven!?
I have a 1!.75-pound (0!.800-kg) boneless lamb leg portion that I want to roast in my electric oven!. At which temperature and for how long should I roast it!? Should the roast be covered or uncovered once in the oven!?

Thanks for any and all suggestions!.

Answers:
lamb joints are cooked the same;

Remove all the wrappings and dry off the surface moisture from the meat with a clean cloth or kitchen towel!.

To enhance the flavour, season with rosemary or garlic slivers inserted into the skin!.

Cooking Times:
Raw to Medium: 25 mins per lb plus 25 mins over
Well Done: 30-35mins per lb plus 30 mins over

To Roast!. Uncovered!.

Calculate the cooking time!.
Pre-heat the oven to 375F/190C/Gas 5!.

Roast the meat with a little dripping or lard in the centre of the oven!. Baste at intervals during cooking!.

It is recommended not to hot roast leg joints as this will toughen the meat!.
It can be done, just do it on a lower heat for longer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think the temperature for roasting at should be about 170 180 degrees c, i am unsure how long to roast it for, just keep checking while it is cooking!. Dependent upon how you like your lamb done if you prod it deeply with a fork and the juices run clear then the meat is cooked all the way through, if the juices run pink then the meat in the middle is still rarish!.
Cover the meat for a short while to begin with, otherwise the outside will overcook, but then take the foil off and allow the outside to 'crisp' up before you finish cooking!.

One thing to remember when cooking any meat is that the slower you cook it ie the longer time at a lower temperature then the more tender the meat will become!.

Good luck, oh and i'll have a plateful when its done !Www@FoodAQ@Com

Remove any membrane from fatty side of leg, add a few cloves garlic!. Roast at 375 deg partially covered for 2 1/2 hrs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

180 in a tray cover with foil for 2 hours take out stick it with a long fork if the juices run clear its OK put it back in oven uncovered for 20 minutes and that's it enjoyWww@FoodAQ@Com
