Olive oil or butter? Which do YOU use for garlic bread?!
Answers:
I personally use both, sorry!. To me, some cooking applications require "The Sister's" to make their dishes just have that extra flavor!. I combine Olive Oil and Butter in a small saucier pan, with fresh garlic, salt and cracked black pepper, onion powder, fresh basil and Italian Parsely, then drizzle this mixture onto the bread, dust it with some Regianno Parmesan Cheese then pop it into an oven set on low Broil, then watch it!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.when the crusts of the bread start to turn brown, I take it out and let it rest a moment before slicing and serving!. I think that Olive Oil and Butter were meant to be together,(in small amounts) to accent each other, just like salt and pepper! Happy Spring Weekend to you!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would prefer non-stick butter, for its somewhat lower cholesterol level and you can control the amount of butter whereas it may be difficult to control the amount of olive oil that may be absorbed by the bread!.

I use margarine, as I am a poor college student who cannot afford olive oil, and I grew up using margarine, so will not change my habits now!. For garlic, I use granulated garlic from the spice aisle, as it's very inexpensive and will keep in its jar forever, and a little goes a long way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
