Hot dilemna?!!!?!


Question: Hot dilemna!?!!!!?
alright my dad and i are cooking for my mom and we grilled some chicken wings but forgot the hot sauce!.!.
and we have to put it on there considering my mom just asked for it!.!.!.but she wants it mild and all we have is like lousiana hot sauce!.!.!.what can we mix with it to make it not so spicy but really really good!
or do you have a good recipe that doesnt take any peppers!.!.

Too easy!.!.!.butter, just dilute the hot sauce with butter! Franks Red Hot is my preferred hot sauce though!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you mean the brand name Tabasco, then your wings are going to take your lips off when you eat them!.!.!.!.!.!.If your sauce is just a Louisana cayenne based sauce, (think: Frank's Red Hot) IS the sauce that's traditionally (along with melted butter or margarine) used in "hot wings'' that are spicy but not "hot"!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Texas Pete is another example of "Louisiana hot sauce (usually water, cayenne and vingear based) I you're using Tabasco, on the other hand, I'd cut WAY back on it, like 1 teaspoon for the entire recipe!.!.!.!.!.!.If you use the amount called for with just Tabasco, you're gonna regret it!.!.!.!.!.!.Don't forget to serve the wings with blue cheese dressing (or ranch, your preference) celery sticks and LOTS of a good COLD beer!.!.!.!.Enjoy!!!

mix a drop or two of hot sauce- amount/heat you want - with ketchup - or take mild salsa and blend to thin sauce and add the amount of hot sauce to your taste--hope your Mom enjoys the mealWww@FoodAQ@Com

perhaps add some bbq sauce!.!.!.or some brown sugar and apple juice, mix in a cup and add that!.!.it will break down the hotness and put a bit of sweetness in there~* :) maybe some pineapple juice too*!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Thin with a bit of heavy cream, or milk!. Even try adding sour cream but dont do the whole batch, just get mini bowls for each of you and mix to your liking in case someone wants it kickier then someone elses!. Dont forget the Blue Cheese though!.!.lol

Buffalo Sauce:

1/4 lb butter, melted
3/4 cup louisiana style hot pepper sauce (*thin with water so less spicy, or use cayanne pepper)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce


Stir toegther butter, hot sauce, garlic powder and worcestershire sauce until combined!.

Deep fry chicken wings until cooked and drain!.

Place chicken wings and sauce in bowl together!.

Cover the bowl and shake till wings are completed coated!.

Serve with blue cheese and celery!.



Edit: We make several different types of Buffalo sauce for everyone to enjoy!. We know that not everyones gonna wannt burn their tastebuds off so we make one for everyones pallete!. We have a "Im sweating like the oldies" Buffalo sauce, which has 1 poblano pepper with 1 Jalapeno added to it!. Our OMG im roasting Buffalo sauce which has 6 jalapenos and 1 Dried Ancho chili, and then theres our Fire n Brimstone buffalo sauce which has 6 scotch bonnet peppers, and 4 jalapenos added to it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This won't make real wings but if you're not from NY, then you won't care about Buffalo wings!. Mix in melted butter and some mayonnaise!. Serve with boatloads of blue cheese and celery!. These will help cool things down!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
