Banana dessert!

Wrap a peeled banana if foil (loosely) with honey, brown sugar and cinnamon place on bbq until soft!. Serve with cream!.

Or/ Peel a banana and put 1/2 inch slits into it!. In the slits place chocolate buttons or choc pieces wrap and bbq till soft!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like to marinate chicken parts in Italian Salad Dressing (Yes, Italian Salad Dressing!!! - it's great) Marinate for about an hour, then grill!. I grill them for about 8 minutes on each side, then repeat (for a total of 16 minutes on each side, turning 3 times)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Beer-Marinated BBQ Chicken Tacos Recipe

Guacamole is often loaded with tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and fiery chiles, but a more traditional version in Mexico and parts of Texas is simply mashed avocados with a bit of salt and lime juice!. It’s rich and buttery—a fabulous topping for these juicy chicken tacos!.


Marinade:

1 cup dark Mexican beer, such as Negra Modelo
2 tablespoons dark sesame oil
1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs, about 4 ounces each


To make the marinade: In a small bowl whisk together the marinade ingredients!. Rinse the chicken thighs under cold water and pat dry with paper towels!. Place them in a large, plastic resealable bag and pour in the marinade!. Press the air out of the bag and seal tightly!. Turn the bag to distribute the marinade, place the bag in a bowl, and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours, turning the bag occasionally!.


Guacamole:

2 ripe Haas avocados
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
6 flour or corn tortillas, 6 to 7 inches in diameter

To make the guacamole: Cut the avocados lengthwise around the pits, twist the halves apart, and remove the pits!. Scoop the flesh into a medium bowl!. Add the lime juice and salt!. Using a potato masher or the back of a spoon, mash the ingredients together!. Cover with plastic wrap, placing it directly on the surface to prevent browning, and refrigerate until about 1 hour before serving!.

Remove the chicken thighs from the bag and discard the marinade!. Grill the chicken thighs over Direct Medium heat until the meat is firm and the juices run clear, 8 to 10 minutes, turning once halfway through grilling time!. Transfer the chicken to a cutting board and cut the thighs into thin strips!.

Warm the tortillas over Direct Medium heat for about 1 minute, turning once halfway through grilling time!. Pile the sliced chicken inside the tortillas!. Top each taco with a spoonful of guacamole!. Serve warm!.

Makes 4 to 6 servings!.

Mashed Sweet Potatoes with Grilled Onions BBQ Recipe
How sweet it is! This easy recipe uses the grill to reinvent a traditional holiday side dish!. Choose similar-sized potatoes for even cooking!. Note: The sweet potatoes are grilled over Indirect Medium heat and the onion slices over Direct Medium heat!.


4 pounds sweet potatoes, scrubbed
1 large yellow onion, cut into 1/2-inch slices
Extra-virgin olive oil
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened



Grill the sweet potatoes over Indirect Medium heat until tender when pierced with a fork, about 1 hour, turning three or four times during grilling time!. Remove from the grill and allow to cool slightly!.


When cool enough to handle, cut the potatoes in half lengthways!. Remove and discard the skins!. Place the potatoes in a medium bowl and cover with aluminium foil!.


Brush or spray the onion slices with olive oil and season with salt and pepper!. Grill over Direct Medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes, turning once halfway through grilling time!. Remove from the grill and allow to cool, then cut into 1/4-inch dice!.


Using a heavy-duty mixer or potato masher, mash the potatoes with the butter until smooth!. Add the diced onions and mix well!. Season with more salt and pepper, if desired!.


Serve warm!.


Makes 8 to 10 servings


Lamb Cutlets with BBQ Sauce

1 tbs Schwartz American Barbecue Seasoning Simply Shake Seasoning
1 tbs brown sauce
2 tbs tomato sauce
2 tbs orange juice
2 tbs olive oil
8 lamb cutlets

Blend all sauce ingredients together and pour over the cutlets!. Allow to marinate for 1-2 hours in a refrigerator!.

Place under a pre-heated grill or on a barbecue, turning occasionally, basting with any remaining sauce for 10-15 minutes or until cooked!.

Makes 4 servings!.

Cucumber Yogurt Raita

1 unpeeled cucumber, seeded and grated
2 scallions, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
1/2 tbsp grated fresh ginger root
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh mint
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
12/3 cups (375ml) greek-style whole milk yogurt or sour cream
salt, black pepper
1 tsp cumin seeds, toasted

Combine cucumber, scallions, garlic, ginger, mint, lemon juice and yogurt or sour cream!. Add salt and pepper to taste!. Cover andrefrigerate for 30 minutes at room temperature to allow flavours to blend!. Sprinkle over cumin seeds!. Serve chilled!.

Think ahead
Make raita up to 1 day in advance!. Cover and refrigerate!. Stir before serving!.

Makes 2 cups - 250ml!.

Baked Alaska BBQ Recipe
4 sponge cake dessert shells or cake cut in 3 1/2" rounds
4 scoops ice cream of desired flavor
3 egg whites 1/4 tsp!. cream of tartar
6 Tbsp!. sugar
1/2 tsp!. vinegar

Place sponge cakes on cookie sheet!. Top each with a scoop of ice cream!. Freeze firm!.

Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until frothy!. Gradually beat in sugar, a little at a time, continue beating until stiff and glossy!. Blend in vanilla!.

Cover prepared cake shells with meringue, covering completely the cake and ice cream and sealing edges at bottom!. Return to freezer until time to serve!.

When ready to serve, preheat gas grill 10 minutes!. Bake frozen Alaska on gas grill set on medium-low with cover down 3 to 5 minutes or until meringue is browned!. Serve immediately!.

Lemon Cake with Kiwi Sauce BBQ recipe
This tropical dessert is the perfect closure for any Polynesian or Asian meal!. You can also make it with orange pound cake!.


1-1/2 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
1/4 cup sugar
3 teaspoons arrowroot
1 tablespoon water
6 kiwi fruit, peeled and thinly sliced
6 2-ounce slices lemon pound cake
3 firm bananas, peeled and cut in half crosswise
1/4 cup butter, melted
6 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 teaspoon black sesame seeds


In a small saucepan combine pineapple juice and sugar!. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes!. Dissolve arrowroot in water and add gradually to liquid, stirring constantly until slightly thickened!. Remove from heat to cool!. Gently fold kiwi slices into sauce!.

Brush cake slices and banana halves lightly with butter; place on cooking grate!. Grill 3 to 4 minutes, turning once halfway through grilling time!.

Serve each cake slice topped with a banana half!. Arrange kiwi sauce around cake and serve with a scoop of ice cream!. Sprinkle with black sesame seeds!.

As an Aussie I am well used to the barbie!.The essential foods to be cooked are usually sausages,hamburgers,steak and chops,but two of my favourite things cooked on the barbie are fried onion rings cooked in lots of butter and a whole fish(usually salmon)stuffed with your choice of seasonings,wrapped in foil and cooked on the barbie!.Another food is the old potato which is cooked in the hot coals of an old-fashioned wood barbie until it is charcoal on the outside and nicely cooked inside,for this you need an old potato which is at least medium size and have any topping you desire put on it after it is broken open!.There are also various side dishes that will make your barbie a success such as coleslaw,potato salad,various sauces and pickles and whatever other cold dishes and breads your guests would likeWww@FoodAQ@Com
