How long does rotini cook for?!


Question: How long does rotini cook for!?
I like to put all my pasta in plastic containers then label what kind of pasta it is and then right the approxmate time to cook it for!. But for some reason when I put the rotini in a plastic container a few months ago, i threw out the box before writing the time for cooking on the container! Would somone please just give me an approxmate time for the cooking of rotini or checking on the box for cooking times!? Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Depends on the brand believe it or not!.
But if DeCecco or an Italian, probably 10 to 12 minutes!.
You don't really need that though!.
After 8 or 9 minutes, just taste one!.
Remember to take them out Al Dente( because they still cook when their out of the water( until cooled) or eaten straight away!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Totally depends on how YOU like your pasta!. I love mine al dente (with a bite) but if you like it a bit more mushy than you cook longer!. Simply take one out and bite it!.
Just make sure you use a big pot and LOTS of water, let it come to a rolling boil before you add the pasta!.
Truly you can't screw pasta up, just take one out and see if it is the way YOU want it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
