Do they make specialised meals in prison?!

Question: Do they make specialised meals in prison!?
Like for allergies, religious reasons, ethical reasons!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I was a food service coordinator at an Iowa State Pen and we actually hired a dietician for special diets!. Some inmates had allergies to some food and we had diabetics, who had to be served their quantities or substitutions personally by the staff!. PS!. Special religious times were observed, with sack lunches when inmates couldn't eat during daylight hours, after dining was closed!. But, management thought it was funny that substitutions were always beans!. If the inmate didn't eat pork, his only option was beans!! If they didn't like the main entree--it was beans!. Yes, they are in for a problem, but they are still human beings!. (to the ones who think death row is funny)!. Sorry, but some of these men are good people who never got the chance to excel or were put down by their parents--if they even knew who they were!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Only for religious reasons!. Most typically for those who are Jewish or Muslim!. The Muslims have their needs catered to during Ramadan especially!.
Brandie is correct to a certain extent!. Most times it's a matter of food choices and self-control while being limited at main line there is still their commissary that enables them to purchase foods!. Now made to order meals are not available unless it's a last meal and even then it may not be what they wanted due to availability!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

ARE YOU JOKING!?!?!? why don't they just give all the prisoners pedicures andpina coladas while they're at it!!! sheesh, they're in jail for a reason, they don't get special priveleges for being criminals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

only on death row!Www@FoodAQ@Com

well, only christians they give water and bread only!. for religious reasons they give muslims cause of ramadan!. i am muslim, too but i am not in prison!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think they specialize for medical reasons and maybe for religious reasons!. I hope I never have to find out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They will make 'reasonable' meals, however in the Bezo case, inmates tried to force prisons to make special Jewish and Muslim meals and the Supreme Court held it was too costly!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
