yes all hard cheeses can freeze i wrap mine in baco foil first then i put it in a freezer bag this is to prevent it getting freezer burns!. put the date on the bag and what sort of cheese you have,Www@FoodAQ@Com

yep!.!.!. kinda messes with the texture when it thaws tho!.!.!. what I mean when you try and shed the cheese it is more crumbly!.

Hard or semi-hard cheese can be frozen if cut in 1/2 to 1-pound blocks!. Wrap in plastic wrap and then put in freezer bags!. After freezing, cheese may become crumbly and mealy, but, it will retain its flavor!. It works best for cooking!.

Plan to use frozen cheese within 4 to 6 months!. Thaw cheese in the refrigerator!. Use soon after thawing!.

The cheeses that freeze best are brick, Camembert, cheddar, Edam, mozzerella, muenster, Parmesan, provolone, Romano and Swiss!. Blue cheeses are more prone to becoming crumbly but they'll still taste good!. Cream cheese and cottage cheese do not freeze well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I freeze most types of cheese(not cottage cheese or cream cheese) Wrap well in cling film first!.It tends to make it more crumbly,but other than that it`s fine for up to about 6 months!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, you need to wrap it well, ive had cheese thats been frozen for 8 months and it tastes perfect, although sometimes goes a little crumbly!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hard cheeses are okay to freeze - good grated for quick access!. I would not try to freeze soft cheeses though!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
