Answers:
it can be done in the oven
cover the dish its in with foil
and stand it in a roasting tin with an inch and a half of water
it will turn out the same, make sure the foil is tight around the top of your dish thoughWww@FoodAQ@Com

yes however it will be a bit dryer than steamedWww@FoodAQ@Com

It's not spotted dick unless it's steamed, but you can steam it in the over using a bain marie (apologies for spelling if I've got that wrong)Www@FoodAQ@Com

steam it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Can I come to yours for tea pleaseWww@FoodAQ@Com

You could make your pudding as normal put it in a pudding bowl and cover as normal then place it in a roasting pan of hot water in the oven and steam it that way!. Just be very careful not to let it boil dry!. Now will you top it with custard or cream!? I prefer custardWww@FoodAQ@Com

could microwave in a plastic container or boil in a plastic container over a pan of water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can cook it in the oven but I really wouldn’t, it won't turn out very nice!. Steaming it keeps it moist, if you oven cook it it’ll probably just turn out like a dry sponge cakeWww@FoodAQ@Com

As long as it is properly covered it will turn out fine, just make sure there is enough water in the pan so it will not boil dry!.
You may need to adjust your cooking time though!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes it can be done in oven but stand in a tin with a bit of water in the tin ,but it taste better if it has been steamerWww@FoodAQ@Com

Steam it like granny used to do, hang on I'll just get my coat and see you soon, lots of custard for me please!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it should be steamed because it keeps it moist,Www@FoodAQ@Com
