Chicken curry:

Ingredients:
1kilo or 1 whole chicken (cut into pieces)
3 medium sized onions (finely chopped)
4 tablespoons finely chopped ginger
4 tablespoons finely chopped garlic
4 tomatoes or half tin of tomatoes
150 ml of cooking oil
Half cup of beaten yogurt (whisk it with spoon to remove the lumps))
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon red chilli powder (U can increase or decrease the quantity according to ur taste)
2 teaspoons of turmeric powder
1 teaspoon whole Zeera
1 teaspoon of coriander seeds (optional)
2 - 3 bay/curry leaves (optional)
4 -6 pieces of cloves (optional)
2 Black cardamoms (optional)
2 Green cardamoms (optional)
1 inch cinamon stick (optional)
10 -12 black peppercorns (optional)
2 tablespoons of washed and chopped fresh coriander leaves (optional for garnising)

Method:
1 - Heat the oil in the deep pan!. Add chopped onions, zeera and all optional spices!. Saute it for 5 minutes on medium fire!.

2 - Add garlic and ginger!. Cook it on low to medium heat until the onions are brown!.

3 - Add half cup of water, chopped tomatoes, salt, chilly powder and turmeric powder!.

4 - When water dries up, add chicken pieces and cook it for 10 minutes on medium fire!. Keep stirring!.

5 - Add beaten yoghurt and cover it with the lid!. Cook it for few minutes on medium fire until it releases the water!. When water starts bubbling, keep the fire between medium and low flame!. Stir it occasionally!. Take it off fire when chicken is tender/cooked!.
6 - If u want more gravy u can add half cup of water and cook it until water starts to boil!.

7 - Garnish with fresh chopped coriander leaves!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Boil that chicken and tomatoes separetly as well!. Make paste of that ginger and garlic!. Before make that paste remove the skin from the ginger!. Cut hte onion small pieces!. Put some oil in span and roast that onion pieces!. cut the Boiled tomatoes and chicken!. put that tomatoes and chicken in span and add the paste to it!. Boil that 15 minutes!. You will get the tasty chicken curry now!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You need lots more!. The general sort of North recipe is fry up up onion, garlic, ginger a bit, then in goes coriander, cumin, salt, turmeric!.
Chopped up chicken fired in the mixture, plain yoghurt, curry leaves (not very important) simmer till tastes good

South Indian is similar but lots of chilli with the onion and garlic, and coconut milk instead of yoghurt!.
