Question: My food choices today!?
where my food choices today healthy!?
Summer is coming up and I need to lose a few

Breakfast (10:00am) Home made banana smoothie with milk, honey, cinnamon and nutmeg!.

Lunch (11:30am) 1 hard boiled egg with honey mustard on the side!.

afternoon snack (2:00) butter, Havarti cheese, tomato, pickles and a dash of pepper on whole wheat bread!.

snacks throughout the day (3:00-4:30pm) 1 Kiwi, bowl of sliced pears,a small cup of peach yogurt, and about 6 old dutch potato chips!.

Dinner (6:30pm) home made beef stew with steak chunks, broccoli, carrots, onions and barley!.

All throughout the day I drank water, which is what I always drink since you can't go wrong with water!. I'm planning to keep this routine up everyday!. I feel like I ate healthy because I feel energized and I feel good!.
as for the chips I only have them once every 2 weeks since they make me break out, and the honey mustard is home-made so its not very fattening!. If there a few food groups missing, this is just today's foodWww@FoodAQ@Com

Not a bad menu at all but what you have to do is make sure you vary it every day!. Otherwise, you will soon become bored, discouraged and revert back to your old practices!. Here is a simple recipe for a healthy lunch and a link to a site which gives great recipes and advice for what you are trying to achieve!.!.!.

Avocado and Tomato on French Toast

Per person you will require:

1 slice of bread
1 small egg (beaten and seasoned)
1/2 an avocado (skinned and mashed)
1 small tomato (thinly sliced)
6 thin slices of cucumber
2 or 3 roughly torn fresh basil leaves
Salt/freshly ground black pepper
Olive oil for frying

Add a little olive oil to a non-stick pan and bring up to a medium to high heat!. Draw the bread carefully through the beaten egg to coat it completely on both sides but avoid breaking it!. Fry it for 3 to 4 minutes on each side!.

It is possible to mash the avocado straight on to the toast but I prefer to do it beforehand in a small bowl!. Spread it carefully over the toast, add the cucumber slices and the tomato and season!. Finish with a scattering of torn basil leaves and an optional drizzle of extra virgin olive oil!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
