Does anyone really eat T.V. dinners anymore? Why not try out your crock pot, if you have one?!

Question: Does anyone really eat T!.V!. dinners anymore!? Why not try out your crock pot, if you have one!?
For instance, buy a fresh chicken, from 3 to 4 lbs!., and cook on high for six hours!. You can use poultry seasoning, plus many other spices for different flavors!. Use for sandwiches, chicken salad, etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
i think tv dinners suck! a crockpot meal tastes way better than a frozen one any day!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

because some people don't know how yet!. Its good that you do, but here, you try to teach or learn something, not criticize

EDIT
I have been known to do that, I have been on here over a year now!. I AM critical on occasion, but you learn to adapt to what real people do and are!. Some people don't have time, or they are cooking for them selves, that makes it so not fun
Peace

Personally I have been known to eat T!.V!. dinners on occasion but they are loaded and I mean loaded with salt!. On the crock pot issue that's a great idea!. It's really easy to make a great pot roast when you let it simmer all day!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I agree!! There are so many wonderful, healthy, tasty, quick meals that you can make in the same (or less!) time than it takes to cook up a TV dinner!.
Example -- tonight I had turkey bacon and eggs on toast!. Yummy, not too bad for me, and fresh!. Quick -- took less than 8 minutes to cook!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i eat tv dinners when i finish wok at 1am and am way too tired to cook!. i don't have a crock pot or the money to invest in one so i can't try that yet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When I was younger, I loved them!. !. !. Lean Cuisine makes some good ones, for lunches, like the pizzas!. !. !. And nothing can be Stouffer's Mac and Cheese!!. !. !. Not sure what that has to do with using my crock pot though!. !. !. !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Some people do not have 6 hours, and are at work when its time to start the process!. you can buy a readymade fresh pizza from your local market, feeds 6, 45 minutes in the oven tops!. The point you really should be making is not to watch TV while you eat, not how you got there!. TV dinners!? the frozen food aisle is full of them, even if they are no longer housed in aluminum!.

edit
Not trying to be confrontational but no one really plans that far ahead anymore, and you arent making soup :) maybe you should consider real instructions, like time and water levels for your make of slow cooker, and served over rice!? some bread!? It isnt that easy, I dont want to count floor tiles in the bathroom for 3 days!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

TV dinners no longer exist!. There are now delicious "frozen" dinners!. They are very tasty and are real food just like what you would cook at home and then frozen!. Try these brands:

Stouffer's!.
Marie Calendar's!.
Michael Angelo's!.
Boston Market!.
Tyson's chicken wings - comes in a large bag!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are some good ones at Walmart!. Boston Market are good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I eat TV dinners!. I don't wake up easily in the mornings and prepping a crock pot still takes some time!. also, you have to have fresh ingredients!. Frozen dinners don't spoil, so you can keep a few in your freezer as backup for when you need to go to the store!.

Some of the healthy frozen meals are actually very very tasty, many are lower in salt than the used to be and most of them have actually improved in taste in the past few years!. Its also easy for portion control or if you're on a diet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes i do!.!.!.
eventhough, i've learned the secret to an even better salisbury-steak -i still have the need to have a quick (family pack-mind you) plate full of the yummy stuff !

ever since about 1970 ish or so when chicken was intro'd i burn't 3-seperate plates and i quit that fooooor ever ( i had a bucket 200 ft!. from my door anyway ( mmmmmmmmmm!! )
yea i think many of us still take the lazy way out ( STILL ) i mean who wants to miss the best part of the show ,its made in almost the same time as a bag of popcorn !!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Will you clean it after I cook in it!.!.!.!.!.I cook using the stove and heat in the micro never used my crock or roasting oven yet!.!.So yes I sometimes eat TV dinners!.!.I like the fish or chicken nuggets/mac&cheese/corn/ chocolate pudding or the salsbury steak!.!.!.Blessings YahooWww@FoodAQ@Com

I just don't like the idea of leaving things on all day even if its crock pot!. I feel safer knowing that everything, appliances, & etc is off when I leave the house!. I get off at 4:30pm by the time I get home its almost 6pm!. I'm better of buying a prepared meal or going through a drive through!. Easy no stress at the end of the day just eat & trash the food when done!. No cleaning more time to relax!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not that I eat any frozen dinners!.!.!. but!.!.!. Let's see here: It's a difference between 6 HOURS in a crockpot, or 6 MINUTES in an oven! Some people work late hours, and want something to eat as soon as they get home!.!.!. and usually people work longer than 6 hours, so they can't start the crockpot when they leave for work in the morning!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I agree, crock pots are great, and they make wonderful food!.

But, as other posters have said, they still take time!. You have to buy fresh ingredients, find a recipe that you can make (and like), and have the forethought to put it all together!.

Plus, A LOT of people take frozen dinners to work to microwave at the office where there is no crock pot full of food waiting!.

It's a great idea, but everyone has to find their own way up the food pyramid!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use my crock pot every week!. I love the darn thing!!

Home made chili!! Yum!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Maybe people like the taste of TV dinners!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes i love T!.V!. dinners!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds like a good idea to me!. TV dinners, they are okay, but I haven't had any recently!. Try to do a beef brisket in a crockpot, very good and tender!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
