Need help from people who have canned jams or jellies?!

Question: Need help from people who have canned jams or jellies!?
I was trying to make dandelion jelly with the recipe below!. I found two similar recipes with conflicting directions!. I followed the Sure Jel directions, but I was boiling the water with lemon juice and sure jel and it took forever to boil, then added the sugar to not much water!. Eventually it boiled and lightly coated the spoon!. It poured ok to jars but afterwards the drops on the stove that cooled were like candy soft crack/ soft ball syrup stage!. I think I just canned something in a water bath that won't come out of the jar!. Is there a way to fix this!? One recipe says it is supposed to taste like honey!. The tan codrop stuck to my teeth like gum!.

Dandelion Jelly
4 cups (1 qt!.) dandelion flowers
4 cups (1 qt!.) water
1 tsp!. lemon juice
1 box Sure-Jell
4 ? cups sugar
In early morning pick the blossoms!. Wash!. Boil blossoms with water for 3 minutes!. Strain and drain off 3 cups liquid!. Take this juice and add Sure-Jel, lemon juice and sugar!. Boil mixture for 3 minutes!. Skim offWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You boil the dandelion water first, then add the sugar, lemon juice and sure-jel!.!. That's where you went wrong!. 3 cups of liquid doesn't take long to boil but having all that stuff in it would slow it down!. I'd make a new batch!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
