We have a lot of salads and since we live inthe country, we add quite a few different items!. Radish tops, dandelion greens, nastursium blossoms, rose petals, spinach, 2 or 3 kinds of lettuce, squash blossoms, etc!. Salads can be a simple thing or a work of art, depending on your mood!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Unquestionably onions, green or red!. But I'd add some mesclun and cucumber too!. My recommended dressing would be olive oil and balsamic vinegar, with some fresh basil!. It doesn't get any better than that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Tomato Mozzarella Salad
Ingredients
3 large tomatoes, sliced
8 ozmozzarella cheese, sliced
1/4 cup olive or vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup minced fresh basil

Directions
On a large serving platter, alternate tomatoes and mozzarella slices!. In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the oil, salt and pepper; shake well!. Drizzle over tomatoes and mozzarella!. Sprinkle with basil!.
