Help with tonight's dinner!?!

Question: Help with tonight's dinner!!?
I saw a recipe recently where you took steak cut up like you would use in a stew, and put it in the crock pot with a package of dry onion soup, and butter!. You then served it over noodles!. I thought I saved the recipe as a favorite, and now I can't find it! I have the meat ready to make for dinner tonight, so I need to get started! Anyone have any ideas on what recipe I may have seen!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

It might be butter & onion Steak tips with noodles!.!.!.search that on google!. sounds yummy thoughWww@FoodAQ@Com

Sound like beef stroganoff!.
Brown out meat then add onion soup!.
Add mushrooms, garlic, pepper, some ketchup and boil!.
Let cool then add sour cream and a couple of table spoons of flour mixed with water (to thicken) reheat till it is thick then serve over egg noodles!.

Another tip: cut meat into strips instead of cubes, also cut strips at a 45 degree angle to the cutting surface, this type of cut is across the grain and will make the meat more tender!.

Forget, the mushroom soup!. That's the cheaters way to make a culinary disaster!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds like some sort of casserole!.

If you have the meat ready and seasoned, boil the noodles!. Once they're "al dente" (still a little hard)!. Place them in a greased casserolle dish!. Add the pieces of steak!. You can add some chredded cheese, sour cream or maybe even some veggies (canned or frozen/thawed) to it!. Stick it in the oven!. 300 degrees for about 1/2 hour!. :)

Just an idea !.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I make a stroganoff type meal the same way!.

I take the meat in bite size peices, roll in flour and brown!. Then I add mushrooms, heavy cream, a dollop of sour cream, and salt and pepper!. Cook that until the meat is tender and done!. That makes a nice thick sauce you can pour over noodles!.

My mother used to make a roast with onion soup mix!. She would put the roast in the crock pot with the soup mix and a cup or two of beef stock!. Cook it all day!.!.!.YUM!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cube Steak Stew

Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, chili pepper, black pepper, to taste, if desired

Pound steak and cube!. Roll in seasoned flour!. Brown in shortening with chopped onions and peppers!. Place into large Dutch oven!.

Pour in sauce with 2 cans water!.

Add potatoes, carrots, and peas!. Cook slowly until tender, about 1 hour!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds like beef stroganoff to me, but with beef strips instead of meat balls!. Sounds good, regardless!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Add sour cream to what you described at the end, mix well and serve on noodles or rice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm not into shortcut cooking myself, but I should imagine you'd need to make the soup up first!. Why not just use onions and some stock!? Just as easy and no artifical additives!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
