Safe (meat) defrosting rules:
Safest way is in the refrigerator!.
Second safest is in the sink under running COLD (NEVER HOT or warm) water!.
Or if you're careful, use the defrost setting on the microwave!.
You can partially thaw the whole bit, if you're not using all of it (ie put the whole bunch in the fridge to thaw, if it's one solid block and you can't break off 9 wings), as long as they're still frozen on the inside, then you can take the wings you want and put the rest back in the freezer!. But only if the meat is still frozen in the middle (this applies to fish, or beef or anything else)!.
Any other way will cause a rampage of bacteria to flourish and go ahead if you feel like killing your guests or getting them sick!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Use the defrost setting on your microwave!. It usually asks for type of meat and weight and then it automatically defrosts!.
Chicken wings are pretty small, are they not!? I think you should make them all, just in case!. Are you making buffalo wings or what type!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Heat 1 gallon of water with the above ingredents until the salt and sugar have dissolved, let cool and throw the wings in there!! Works great for pork, turkey, or chicken!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you just want to defrost 9 wings bang the bag on the counter and break them up so you only get 9 out!.
You can put them in water to defrost!. You can also cook them frozen for about 2x as long but the sauce doesn't stick as well this way!.
Food can stay frozen indefintely!.
You are not suppose to defrost something & refreeze it but I have done it tons of times!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Take out ONLY what you need and put the rest back in the freezer!. You can defrost the ones you need by leaving them in the fridge for a couple of day!. OR if you don't have that much time, put them in a baggie and sit them in cold water!. After about 20 minutes, drain water and refill!. Keep doing this until it is thawed completely!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Defrost in the refrigerator or the microwave!. Do not, ever, defrost meat by leaving it at room temperature; this is a dangerous practice!. Frozen (not ground) meat will keep in the freezer about 3 months!. But wrap it tightly, or you will get freezer burn!.
