Here is a recipe for you:

INGREDIENTS:
1 lb!. salmon fillets
4 Tbsp!. butter, melted
4Tbsp!. mayonnaise
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp!. salt
dash white pepper

PREPARATION:
Place fillets in 2 quart microwave safe baking dish!. Combine remaining ingredients in small bowl and mix well!. Pour over fish!. Cover casserole with plastic wrap, venting one corner, and microwave on HIGH 3-6 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork, rotating dish once during cooking timeWww@FoodAQ@Com

I recently purchased some frozen salmon fillets from Costco and they were vacuum packed in individual servings of about 7 to 8 ounces!.

The instructions said to defrost by placing the frozen fillet in a bowl of cold water for 20 to 25 minutes!. It is best to use cold water!.

If you use hot water you could "cook" the edges while the middle is still trying to defrost!.

Just place your 7 ounces in a ziplock bag to keep the water out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The best way to do this is to not microwave it at all!. This hurts the nutrients in it to begin with!. ít takes just a couple extra minutes to do it the good way!. Wrap it tightly in cling wrap, or better yet a zip lock bag!. Submerse it in a sink or large bowl of hot water and let it defrost naturally!. The other guy's idea is good too, but this way you omit the unnecesary fat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can also use a covered dish with 1/4 cup of water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

try ziplock steam & seal cooking bags work great with salmon will not dry it out!. plus can also be used for many other foodsWww@FoodAQ@Com
