Sweet and Sour Sauce
This tangy sweet and sour sauce dip is great teamed with barbecued chicken, pork and spare ribs!. There is the option to add a teaspoon or two of oil, but I prefer it without as oil is fattening!
Ingredients
2 tablespoons malt vinegar
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 tablespoon tomato purée
1 dessertspoon cornflour
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4 pint water
One small can of chopped, drained pineapple
Pineapple juice (drained from can)
Method
Blend together the vinegar, sugar, tomato purée, cornflour, pineapple juice and soy sauce!. Transfer the mixture to a pan, bring to the boil and simmer gently until the mixture thickens!. Stir in the pineapple!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is not the crappy bright red dyed "jelly" you see at Chinese restaurants or in jars, but it's a very good basic sweet and sour sauce!.
3/4 c water
3/4 c pineapple juice from the can
4 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp starch + 2 tbsp water
This sauce can be poured over the meats and veggies you're cooking toward the end of the cooking time!.
OR, if you just need a stand-alone sauce, put it into a saucepan over medium-low heat, and whisk constantly till slightly thickened!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's all very simple, none of the above complicated ingredients and ways!. I used to work part-time in a Chinese takeaway!. The sauce's main ingredients are sugar, vinegar and tomato ketchup!. As for the amounts, they differ according to your own taste if you make it at home!. The chefs I saw in the kitchen, they tended to make it sweeter by putting more sugar than vinegar!. It's a way to open up the customers' appetites!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Easiest one I can think of is tomato puree, pineapple juice, splash vinegar, drop of lemon juice with chilli powder, seasoning and sugar to own taste!. Warm through and simmer for about 20 - 30 mins!. You can plop in a few pineapples, chopped peppers and onions too if you want!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The Best way to do it is what I do Find your favourite sauce on the shelf and note the ingredients!. if you vary the amounts you can make it even more to your taste!. Then make a big batch and freeze it for instant use any time you need itWww@FoodAQ@Com
i cant but im sure if u type it in on google u will *** up wd summit -xWww@FoodAQ@Com
