A well-stocked cooler is a must! Have plenty of ice or frozen gel-packs on hand before you start packing!.
What to take!? Some foods don’t require refrigeration — peanut butter and jelly and some cheeses, for example!. if you are taking summer salads, making sandwiches on the road, or bringing food to cook over the course of your vacation, plan to keep them on ice in your cooler throughout the trip!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Whatever you make, which is about anything you want; just make sure you pack it in a cooler with ice!. 3 hours is a long time for food to be left out!.

You'll have to have something small enough to put in the fridge at the hotel, dont forget that!.

Make a small casserole with chicken and pasta, bring a loaf of bread and make sandwiches!. Chicken salad sandwiches, or meatball sandwiches with some sauce!. Tuna might be a little 'stinky" to bring, lololol!.

Make some homemade dip!. That wont take up too much room either!. Queso, taco dip, buy a frozen all ready made dip so you can just heat it up and munch on it in the room!.

Potatoes bake well in a microwave!. You can use “Molly McButter” or “Butter Buds” if you don’t want to take along a small container of margarine!. Chives, bacon bits, and even cheese will travel that far!. Depending on what you are going to be doing a can of Chili may or may not be a good idea!. <grin>Www@FoodAQ@Com

buy microwaveable, shelf stable foods (dinty moore stew, chili, etc!.)

Cook and freeze everything about 2 days before you leave, place in an ice chest and make sure all stays covered with ice and the chest kept closed!. Source(s) took shrimp on a 14 hour trip!.!.!.they were all good til the next day this way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I really wouldn't try taking food on a three hour car ride with only a microwave to heat it up because you don't want to give yourself food posioning!. I would suggest bring canned soup or the individual mac and cheeses!. I wouldn't suggest trying to bring food though!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make your foods, treats and freeze them!. On the road, carry them in a cooler!. When you get there, just nuke 'em and eat!.

It'll save the expense of meals at a restaurant!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I thought this was going to be a question about how to cook possum or squirls ect that you found on the road!.

I was gonna star the question !.!. these are tough times and foods getting expensive, especialy meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
