Question: Easy Apple Cake!?
I want to make an apple cake for our church picnic!. Does anyone know of an easy but yummy recipe!? I would like to start with a packaged cake mix!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

SUPER DUPER EASY APPLE CAKE

INGREDIENTS
1 (18!.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and finely diced


DIRECTIONS
Prepare cake mix according to package directions for a 10 inch tube pan!. Stir in the cinnamon and vanilla extract, then fold in the chopped apples!.
Pour batter into prepared pan!. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean!. Allow to cool!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have subbed self rising flour for the plain flour, baking soda and salt in the recipe!.

TALLULAH CABOOSE FRESH APPLE CAKE

1 1/4 c vegetable oil
2 c sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 c pecans, chopped and toasted
3 med!. apples, peeled and diced

Combine oil, sugar, and eggs!. Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes!. Add
vanilla!. Combine flour, soda, salt, and cinnamon!. Add to the creamed
mixture!. Fold in pecans and apples!. Bake in a tube pan for 1 hour and

CARAMEL GLAZED APPLE CAKE

Ingredients for Cake:
1 cup light-brown sugar, packed
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
3 large eggs
3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons ground Ceylon cinnamon (see Note)
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
5 fresh apples (such as Winesap or Granny Smith), peeled and diced into 1/2 inch pieces
1 1/4 cups not-too-finely chopped pecans
2 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract

Ingredients for Glaze:
1/2 stick unsalted butter
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup light-brown sugar
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup heavy cream

MAKE THE CAKE
1!. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C)!.
2!. Put the sugars and vegetable oil in a mixing bowl, and beat until very well blended!. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition!. Sift together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt, and gradually add to the sugar and eggs, mixing just until well blended!.
3!. Stir in the apples, pecans, and vanilla, and pour into a buttered and 9-by-13-inch baking pan!.
4!. Bake in the preheated oven until a skewer or toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean, about 1 1/4 hours (begin checking after 50 minutes)!. Remove from the oven, and allow to cool in the pan while you prepare the caramel glaze!.

MAKE THE GLAZE
1!. Melt the butter in a saucepan, and add both the sugars and the salt!. Stir until blended, and cook over medium-low heat for 2 minutes!. Stir in the heavy cream, and boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly!. Remove from heat!.
2!. Use a skewer or toothpick to poke holes all over the top of the cake, and pour the warm glaze over the surface!. Serve warm or at room temperature!.

NOTE: The quality of cinnamon can vary greatly, and most that you find on supermarket shelves is harsh and hot in flavor!. Ceylon cinnamon is the exception and we use it a lot in our recipes!. Ceylon cinnamon is best purchased in stick form, kept tightly covered away from sunlight, and ground in a spice mill or with a mortar and pestle for each recipe (we keep a small electric coffee grinder that we use only for sweet spices like cinnamon and clove)!. Unlike common cinnamon, which is thick, hard and brittle, Ceylon cinnamon is paper thin and crumbles easily in the hand!. It is complexly smooth and sweet, and very refined, both in aroma and flavor!. We recommend seeking it out, as it makes all the difference in a dish!. If, however, for some reason you simply cannot find Ceylon cinnamon, reduce the amount called for in our recipe by half if you are using an ordinary supermarket brand!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1 package (1-layer size) yellow cake mix
1 cup flaked coconut
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 21-ounce can apple pie filling

Combine dry cake mix, coconut, and cinnamon; stir in melted butter!. Press about 2/3 of mixture into ungreased 8x8x2-inch baking pan; spread with pie filling!. Crumble remaining coconut mixture over the filling!. Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
2 eggs
2 tablespoons vegetable oil


DIRECTIONS
In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients!. beat on medium speed for 2 minutes!. Pour into a greased 13-in!.x 9-in!. x 2-in!. baking dish!. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean!. Cool on a wire rack!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

APPLE PIE CAKE
1 can applie pie filling
1 pkg!. yellow (or spice) cake mix
3 eggs
1/4 c!. apple juice
1/4 c!. oil
1 tsp!. cinnamon
powdered sugar to sprinkle on top
Whirl pie filling in blender!. Pour into mixing bowl and add rest of ingredients (except powdered sugar)!. Beat well (at least 3 min)!. Bake in greased & floured bundt or tube pan at 350 for 1 hour!. Cool in pan for 10!. Turn out and dust with powdered sugarWww@FoodAQ@Com
