I have a Welbilt BreadMachine ABM7500 and I love it but it stop baking!. It kneads the dough and let it rise but it doesn't bake it!. Is this a common problem and should I get it fixed or should I bite the bullet and get a new one!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I never use mine to bake!. It makes the dough, and then I can shape it the way I like and bake it myself!. I usually make bagels French bread & buns!. Even when I make loaves though, I prefer the long loaf in the pan over the tall bread machine loaf!.

So I would just leave it like that and keep using it!. But, if I still baked bread daily (which I don't, because we rarely eat regular bread) I would buy a new one!. Just think, you could get a new one with all the bells and whistles and it probably won't cost you much because they aren't that expensive anymore!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I wouldn't get it fixed unless it's under warranty!. I haven't baked bread in my machine for several years!. I mix, knead and let the bread rise once or twice in the machine then transfer it to a loaf pan or baking sheet!.

If you miss the capability, then you might think about an inexpensive machine!. I paid around $40 for mine and it's served me well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In my humble estimation, bread machines take most of the fun out of baking!. Let's faceit, it's cheaper and easier to buy frsh bread from a bakery!.!.!. but we make it ourselves because we enjoy it!.

Ditch the machine and work with your hands to make the dough, it's much more gratfying!.!. and you don't get those wierd looking loaves!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Some people use their bread machines to make the dough and do a first rise, then put it into a loaf pan and bake it in the oven!.

If it's more than a year old, you might as well buy a new one!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no - save up and buy another - in the mean time make it fresh - recipes on cookeryclubWww@FoodAQ@Com

It will probably cost nearly as much (or more) to get it fixed, than to buy a new one:) !.!.!. I'd go for the new one:)Www@FoodAQ@Com

It might have a yeast infectionWww@FoodAQ@Com
