Question: What are the ratios for oil and vinegar dressing!? I know it sounds like a stupid thing to ask but I don't know
Answers:
This is not a stupid question, because I asked the same question many decades ago to my Chef when I first started making dressings and marinades!. With time and experimentation, I have come to find out that everyone has different tastes, but I prefer the 3 to 1 Ratio, 3 parts Olive Oil, 1 part vinegar, but if you like it more tart, go 2 to 1 Ratio (2 parts Olive Oil, 1 part Vinegar)!. It also depends on what you're using it for, you said you were making a dressing, so you might want to tone it down a bit and use a 4 to 1 Ratio!. You might also want to consider the ingredients in your salad, some vegetables will soak up that Vinegar more, others will react differently to the Olive Oil!. So, it's definitely not a stupid question to me, and there's alot to consider but I hope this helps you out today to make a killer salad dressing!Www@FoodAQ@Com

the only dumb question is an unasked question!! we all have to learn something new, and quite frankly i don't know the answer and that does not make me dumb either!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
