Penne Pasta with Sweet Potato Recipe

Pasta is not fattening!


This recipe is quite an easy one to prepare!.

Any sort of pasta you prefer can be used including pasta spirals or bowties!.

This Recipe Serves 4!.


* 500g penne pasta
* 1 small sweet potato, peeled and cut into cubes
* 1 tablepoon olive oil
* 4 slices shoulder ham, chopped
* 200g semi sun-dried tomatoes
* 1/2 cup sliced spring onions

Method:

Preheat oven to 180 degrees (160 degrees fan forced)
Place sweet potato on tray, drizzle olive oil over the top and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown
Cook pasta in large pan of boiling water, uncovered, until just tender; drain!. Sauté ham in small frying pan until golden brown, set aside
Toss sweet potato, sun dried tomatoes, ham and spring onion through pasta and serve immediately

This is one I like!. Use the pasta, veggies & (low cal-fat) dressing of choice!. You can add shredded cooked chicken, water-packed tuna, shrimp, salmon - whatever you like!. Enjoy!.

12 oz!. Bow Ties or other medium pasta shape
1/2 cup vinaigrette salad dressing
1 cup frozen green peas, thawed
3 plum tomatoes, sliced
1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 oz!. proscuitto, thinly sliced
2 tbsp!. fresh basil, chopped
3 tbsp!. parmesan cheese, freshly grated

Cook pasta according to package, drain!. Return to cooking pan and toss with 2 tablespoons vinaigrette dressing!.

Transfer half of pasta to a clear glass bowl!. Layer peas, tomatoes, mushrooms, and proscuitto on pasta!. Top with remaining pasta!. Sprinkle with basil and pour remaining dressing evenly over salad!. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese!. Serve at once or cover and chill until ready to serve!. Toss right before serving to evenly coat dressing!.

boiled or poached meat will do!.julienne cut it then put aside!.cook penne pasta without salt!.!.al dente!.grease a heavy based saute pan heat it up then saute 1 clove chopped garlic till brown,add the meat and pasta,sprinkle pinch of chili flakes!.season with salt and pepper!.

if it's chicken breast that you've used,then you can call it penne alio olio peperoncni y pollo!.bon appetito!Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is a recipe from Giada De Laurentiis!. It's Penne with Spinach Sauce- it's so healthy and so good!!! If you don't have whole wheat Penne that's fine!

Marinara sauces are usually lower in calories than most red sauces!. Stay away from white sauces!. You can also try tossing warm penne in a little olive oil (good for you) and some freshly grated parmesean!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Try one with breast meat chicken and some olive oil and garlic!.

Just boil pasta right before its al dente and then brown the chicken, add some olive oil and garlic!.!.!.toss with penne!.!.!.voila!. Less than 10 minutes to make too!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
