Answers:
I am a former chef and Grand marnier is fine, the amaretto is fine even Frangelica, I used a walnut flavoured on from Italy in some of my place of employment!.

I made a sudo Walnut Whip ( a UK chocolate/walnut confection), with a chocolate mousse and a walnut paste with liquer, and drizzled with a chocolate and liquer sauce, what I might sugesst, is make a simple syrup, 1/2 sugar and 1/2 water, bring it to the boil, add a good shot or 2 of liquer and them brush it on the warmish tart, all liquer or liqour can be a bit harsh the subtle flavour and the syrup adds moisture and preserves it longer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Grand marnier would be great!. I made a banana chiffon cake and i mixed maple syrup and grand marnier (melt it together in the micro) and brushed it on and it was great! Hope that helps!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Grand Marinier is fine!.!.!.although a Bourbon whiskey reduction ( sauce) is a natural with most nuts, especially pecans, which are similar to your walnuts!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sure why not! I'd probably try Amaretto first though!. You can even buy a small size of it at the front of the liquor store for about $8 or so!. Or what about cherry brandy!?

Sounds yummy! Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Grand Marnier or Triple Sec would both be good, for an orangey flavor !.!.!.!. plain Brandy would also be good!. If you want a coffee flavor, you could use Tia Maria or Kahlua tooWww@FoodAQ@Com
