Just got Jack lalane juicer and don't know what to do with 5lbs worth of carrot pulp?!


Question: Just got Jack lalane juicer and don't know what to do with 5lbs worth of carrot pulp!?
I just got my juicer for my bday and juiced 5lbs of carrots but now I don't know what to do with all that carrot pulp!? Does anyone know any recipes!? Is there a way that I can get recipes of the Jack Lalane website!? I tried but couldn't find any recipes for the pulp!?

I used to buy a carrot raisin salad at a health food store and from looking at the carrot part, I think they used the carrot pulp from making carrot juice!. It was my favorite salad!.

The cake below is delicious!.

Carrot Cake (with buttermilk) – Jane's recipe

3 c flour
2 tsp b soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3 eggs
3/4 c veg oil
3/4 c buttermilk
2 c sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 small can crushed pineapple, drained
2 c grated carrots
3 1/2 oz flaked coconut
1 c chopped walnuts
1 c raisins (optional)

Sift first 4 ingredients together!. Set aside
Beat eggs, add oil, buttermilk, sugar and vanilla!. Mix well

Add dry ingredients to egg mixture, mix well

Add pineapple, nuts, coconut and raisins if used

Pour into a 13 x 9 x 2 pan (buttered and floured)

Bake @ 350 F!. for 55 minutes

FROSTING:
2 c sugar
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 c buttermilk
1 cube of butter
1 Tbsp white corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla

Add all to a small saucepan and heat slowly until butter and sugar are incorporated and mixture bubbles!. Stir to mix well!. Pour over hot cake when it comes from the oven!.

Sunset Salad

1 package (6 oz!.) Jello Orange gelatin
1 tsp salt
2 cups boiling water
1 can (1 lb!. 4 oz!.) crushed pineapple in juice
2 Tab lemon juices
2 cups coarsely grated carrots

1!.Dissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water!.

2!.Add remaining ingredients!.

3!.Chill until thickened, then stir and pour into 6-cup mold or 10 to 12 individual molds!.

4!.Serve with crisp greens and mayonnaise!.

You can make a great carrot cake from the pulp! Just use the pulp like you would shredded carrots!. Use the pulp because you are losing all the great fiber that the carrots have!. Juicing really robs a lot of nutrition!. It has more calories and is less filling then whole fruits and veggies!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

but any way ,
besides the great,idea bout the carrot cake ,you can also make a nice soup / add some heavy cream and maybe some sweet peas and pearl onions !
or blend with other veggies for a broth !! (freeze and use as needed !Www@FoodAQ@Com
