Question: Someone asked how you pronounce Pecan!. I have a question!.!?
Tell me where your are from and how you pronounce Almond!.
I grew up on the San Francisco bay area and I say "Almon"!. Seems like the D became silent!. I had a buddy when I was in the Navy that grew up in the Almond growing region in California!. His way of pronouncing it was "Amon"!. I asked him what happened to the "L"!. He told me it was the way they harvested them!. The were picked up off the ground!. To get them on the ground they had tractors with shakers on them!. He said they would grab the trunk of the tree and shake the L out of them!.
So how do toy say it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
