1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup minced garlic
1/4 cup steak seasoning
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
4 (1/2 pound) New York strip steaks
DIRECTIONS
In a bowl, mix the olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, steak seasoning, red wine vinegar, basil, and Italian seasoning!. Pour into a large resealable plastic bag!. Pierce steaks on all sides with a fork, and place in the bag!. Gently shake to coat!. Seal bag and marinate steaks a minimum of 2 hours in the refrigerator!.
Preheat grill for high heat!.
Lightly oil the grill grate!. Discard marinade!. Place steaks on the grill, and cook 7 minutes on each side, or to desired doneness!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1 Cup thinly sliced red peppers
2 tbsp!. vegetable oil
1 lb!. new york strip sirloin steak, thinly sliced
3/4 cup regular or bold steak sauce
1 tbsp!. sherry cooking wine
6 flour tortillas or 3 cups hot cooked white rice
Cooking Instructions:
In skillet, cook and stir peppers in oil for three minutes or until tender but still crisp!.
Remove peppers with slotted spoon and set aside!.
In the same skillet, cook and stir steak for five minutes or until no longer pink!.
Add cooked peppers, steak sauce and sherry to the steak, heat to a boil!.
Reduce heat and simmer for five minutes!.

oh too bad it's so late!. marinating them bourbon street style would have been yummy!.

The secret is to use cracked peppercorns, not ground!. That solid pepper flavor is what makes this steak so great!.
INGREDIENTS:
4 1-inch thick NY Strip Steaks
1/4 cup black peppercorns
3 tablesoons Lime Pepper seasoning
salt to taste
PREPARATION:
Place pepper corns in mortar and pestle, coarsely crush until most of the corns are broken (you can use a coffee grinder or food processor for this step)!. Cover one side of steaks with crushed pepper and press in firmly, sprinkle with Lime Pepper seasoning and salt!.
Turn steaks over and repeat the same process !. Place in refrigerator for 3 hours, uncovered!. Heat grill, brush grate with vegetable or olive oil and place steaks over hottest part of fire for 3 minutes, turn the steaks over for another 3 minutes!. Move the steaks to a cooler part of grill and continue to cook until done to your liking!. Serve with steak sauce and lots of beer!.
(you can skip the refridg part as your probably in a hurry)

CN, perhaps the reason you are terrible at cooking steaks is that you need to learn to eat them medium rare! A well done steak is tough and dry, as all of the juice is cooked out of it!.
If you insist on eating well done meat, you might as well bake it, or eat pot roast!.
Try, ONE TIME, medium rare, just broil over heat until seared on both sides and has the same touch to your finger as your hand does, on the thumb between the last joint and the wrist, ie in your palm!.
