Answers:
i leave them out for a few hours all the time to defrost and i'm fine!.
if you don't have a grill, use a lightly oiled cast iron skillet!.
all you do is marinade the steaks in a ziploc bag for an hour or so (after the steaks are defrosted) in some olive oil, crushed garlic, a tablespoon of vinegar, black pepper, and some salt!.
after that, heat your oiled skillet until it's HOT and put the steaks in to sear on both sides!. then lower the heat and let the steaks cook until cooked to your liking!. add in some onions and mushrooms, cook until soft!. set it on a plate, wait 10 minutes before cutting the steak!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When you do not have a grill, then broiling them is the next best way to cook them!. Broil them 4 inches from the heat for 7 minutes!. Turn steaks and broil 7-8 minutes longer or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145°; medium, 160°; well-done, 170°)!. Here is a good seasoning to put on them prior to broiling!. Just combine them in a bowl and rub over both sides of steak before broiling!.
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
You could also add some fresh sliced mushroom after turning if you want to!. Oh, and make sure you use your broiling pan!. I line the bottom part with foil for an easier clean up!.
As for thawing, you have plenty of time!. Put in a ziplock bag, then in your sink with cold water!. If they thaw before you're ready to cook, put them back in the fridge, but make sure to bring them to room temperature before cooking!. Don't forget to let them "rest" (sit under a tent of foil for a few minutes) before slicing into them!. This allows the juices to re-distribute back into the meat, leaving you a nice juicy steak!Www@FoodAQ@Com

A couple different ways!. If you have a cast iron skillet sear them on the stove top and then put them in the oven at 350 for 10 minutes, or even if you don't have a cast iron skillet just use a regular skillet!. Brown them just a bit on both sides and then put them in a pan in the oven!. Thawing them in cold water actually works faster, should take a couple hours!Www@FoodAQ@Com
