When I make tofu the first thing I do is hang it in cheese cloth to let the excess moisture drain away - this makes it much firmer and easier to work with!. There is a lot of ways to prepare tofu - it takes on whatever flavor you add to it!. I like to grill it (low heat in aluminum foil with mushrooms, onions and garlic with a little oil) and use it in salads!. It's also good baked and fried (use a little oil and again add what you like for flavor - course ground pepper and/or cayenne pepper is great) This is good served with rice or in a wrap!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Best way- buy the tofu "puffs" already fried from your asian supermarket, and throw them halved or whole into a soup or half cooked curry!. Frying it yourself is harder without sticking problems!. Fry cubes in deep oil and keep them moving so they don't stick, until they are golden brown all over!. Don't do shallow frying, as its just asking for trouble!. Soft tofu - you can drop in small cubes of uncooked tofu into any "wet" dish for a short while and let it stew for 10 minutes!. It doesn't "absorb" flavours, but the coating of the dish gives it the flavour!. When I buy tofu, I always wrap into a towel and put a weight on it to remove 50% of the water before cooking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I love tofu!! Im a vegan!. Anyways I personally eat it as is without cooking!. but you can fry it on the stove stop, grill ir or bake, it!.

If you fry it keep the heat to meadium!.!.if its too high the outsides will burn and it will turn all rubbery!.!.if its too low it wont cook all the way through!. When its golden brown, its done!.

For baking!.!.throw it in at 350 degrees for about 25-35 minutes flipping it over halfway through!.

Since tofu by itself it pretty much flavorless, you can season it with whatever you like!. Good Luck and enjoyWww@FoodAQ@Com

I've been shallow frying tofu for years!
I mix an egg up (eggwash!) then drop the tofu in a couple pices at a time, then roll them lightly in flour!. I fry them in about an inch and a half of REALLY hot oil until they'r golden and crunchy!. Then they're good to go in Chinese, salads, general eating!.!.!. :DWww@FoodAQ@Com

Figure out a veg stir fry!. Cut the tofu into ~ 1" ( + or - ) sized ~cubes!. Put regular olive oil in the wok (or fry pan), keep turning every few minutes, and cook out most of the water!. Soy sauce can help w/flavor and it is very salty so use Soy Sauce instead of salt!. Remove the fried tofu, stir fry your veg and then add the tofu back in!. Top w/some mung bean sprouts if you feel like it!. Serve over rice!. !!!

Tofu is very versatile!. Buy some firm tofu and u can skewer it or grill it!. Yes you can deep fry it or stir fry it too!. The thing with tofu it is like a sponge and it will absorb any flavors its cooked with or marinated in!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

cut in cubes and sprinkle some flour!.fry in high heat till flaky!.slice some red onions, jalapeno and tomato!.add anchovies with a little oil from the anchovy can!.mix all together in a bowl with chopped cilantro!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
