People cook and prepare prawns in different ways !.!.!.!.!.!. I prefer preparing them in this way !.!.!.!.!.!.!. I first de-head them by cutting their heads off !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. I then de-shell them !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. you can usually just peel the shell off or if you like, you can cut the back of it to help you peel it !.!.!.!.!.!.!. next, I peel the big black intestinal vein that is on the belly of the prawn off !.!.!.!.!.!.!. finally, I prefer leaving the tail on when I cook them for style and looks !.!.!.!.!.!. = )Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well if they are all ready peeled and cooked - is pink - they are ready to go!.
If frozen in that state just run under cold water and squeeze out excess water when soft!.
If Raw (black) and peeled you could take out the little black intestinal track that runs either along their back or under their tummy!.
If cooked and shell-on - you can either cook shell on to reheat or just peel when you want to eat them - however their shell is edible!.
If raw and shell on - you can either cook till pink with shellon or peel and cook as above!.
Hope this helps -Www@FoodAQ@Com

Peel them!. Under cold water slice the back of the shrimp!. This will devein them, the little black string looking thing in it!.

Leave the end of the tail on unless you are cooking in soup, pasta, etc!. This way you can pick them up easier!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If they're fresh, pull the heads off and trace down that very thin little dark line that runs down the back of the prawn, rince under the tap, that's the digestive tract!. Other than that nothing elseWww@FoodAQ@Com

You have to peel and devein them, similar to how you would shrimp!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Do the same to shrimpsWww@FoodAQ@Com
