This recipe is very very cheap and very good, we make it alot!.

Take as many chicken legs as you have people and put them in the crockpot, then pour a can (or if you are cooking for 5 2 cans) of diced tomatoes over the top, make sure all the legs are somewhat covered in the stuff, add a little garlic salt or diced onions to taste if you want, or get the diced tomatoes that come in different flavors!. Cook in the crockpot for about 4 hours or so, you will know when they are done when the chicken is falling off the bone!. Then use the juice thats left from the tomato sauce to cook rice in (1 cup juice to 1/2 cup, you may have to add a little water) and thats it!
The spanish rice is acually very good considering it has barely anything in it and the chicken is sooo tender!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Carbs! No they are not evil, as dieters might try to say!. It's all about portion size, and if you're trying to stretch a budget, then you won't scarf down too many carbs!.
Rice, pasta and potatoes are filling, and cheap!. Rice and pasta double volume in cooking; so do beans, which are very nutritious!. Try a chilli recipe w/a variety of beans and less meat!. Veggies are vital and frozen varieties are cheaper!.
In my Mexican family, just about anything can be cooked with garlic and onion in a tomato based sauce!.
also, check out the garden section of Wal-Mart; you'll find small herb plants!. Take them home, grow them!. A sprig or two will add flavor to stews, stir-fries, etc!. Dried and processed herbs and spices can be considerably more expensive!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Instead of spaghetti (from the box), use spaghetti squash!. Follow the cooking instructions on the label on the veggie!. For a savory sauce, in a frying pan add 1 zucchini (or spinach) chopped, a small can of chopped tomatoes, 1 small onion, chopped, seasoning(s)!. Cook until some of the liquid cooks off!. Serves 4-6!. Other veggies can be substituted or added!. The more veggies, the further it goes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Corned Beef!.
Mashed potatoes!.
Carrots!.
Cauliflower!.
A sweet Mustard sauce poured over the dish, after plating up!.

A decent sized chunk 3lb will feed 5 and still have some left over for hash, or sammies!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

try cheap cooking !.com they have tons of recipes with inexspensive ingredients !. good luck !.Www@FoodAQ@Com
