Cream cheese icing?!

Question: Cream cheese icing!?
I am making homemade cinnamon rolls, but the icing I need to use asks for confectioners sugar!. I think it tastes weird!. Is there something else I can substitute for it!? I thought if i used regular sugar, it might be gritty in the icing!.

Thanks,Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
maybe the confectioners sugar is old, if not, add a little vanilla extract, or almond extract, or even lemon or orange extract, which might taste really good on the cinnamon buns, especially the orange extract!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

confectioners sugar or powdered sugar is a combo of sugar and corn starch,,,,,but you can simply run granulated sugar through your blender to make it finer!.!.!.so it wont be grittyWww@FoodAQ@Com

Yeah icing sugar or caster sugar just cream together with a few drops of vanilla essence should do the trickWww@FoodAQ@Com

skip the icing!.!.!.!. and top it w/ copped nuts and butterWww@FoodAQ@Com
