Home cooking on the rise-why is this?!

Question: Home cooking on the rise-why is this!?
Answers:
People are beginning to realise that if they want good food, and want to know what they are actually eating they need to cook it themselves!. Home cooking is on the rise now, but when I was young home cooking was the norm, it took a tremendous dive when more women began working and supermarkets started selling convenience foods!.
I'm glad to see that it's coming back, otherwise we could have one or more generations who simply don't know how to cook properly, only how to open packets and read instructions!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

since 22!.000 euro for a diner at Versailles is a bit over the top
(that's 1466 per plate)
and since the Scotch learned to fry their Mars-bars at home
(due to the effortless work of Ms Scotch Mist)

I think people are concerned as to what is put into ready made meals etc as there has been enough hype about this, and people now realise that they can only trust themselves as to what is in the food they eat and feed to the children, I myself am a female, and I have never bought ready meals, I look at the cost and think I can make three of them at that price, which I do then freeze two for a later date, hey!! my own ready made meals!. Others are now thinking like me one of the old school!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hope you're right Plato

Home cooking means families eat together, which is a very good thing!. It also means healthier and cheaper meals

unless it's my cooking, in which case the opposite is true!. I just wait for the smoke detector to tell me when dinner is ready :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

cos, there's too much junk food about that does you absolutely no good what so ever!. Not only that, with all the good raw food there is at markets and so on, you just have to give it a go!. And lets face it!. There's no substitute for a good, old fashioned properly home cooked meal!.
