French toast made from banana nut bread?!

Question: French toast made from banana nut bread!?
How would I make that!? Just like using regular bread!? Or is french toast/banana bread a gross idea!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
First of all: this sounds crazy delicious!.

Second: as with regular French toast, it's a good idea to leave the bread out so it can get a little stale (at LEAST overnight), because it will soak up the egg mixture better!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Slice the bread and put it on a tray and leave it out over night!. This will make it a bit hard but give it the sturdiness you need to dip it in your egg mixture in the morning!. It is very tasty and instead of using maple syrup try it with some whipped cream cheese mix with bananas wow is it good and just a touch of maple syrup in the mixture!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Oh that sounds like it would make wonderful French Toast!. The only thing I would do differently than using the regular bread is to decrease the amount of cinnamon and sugar as the banana bread alone should have enough taste!. I have actually used raisin bread for my French Toast but did the same!.!. reduced the spices!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make the banana nut bread normally!. Let completely cool!. When cool banana nut bread has more strength!. Then use in place of bread for the french toast!.

However!.!.!.!.I would suggest deep frying!. My auntie when I was growing up had a huge cast iron skillet that she would fill half way with oil and deep fry the french toast!.

Deep frying it will also bring out the nut and banana flavors, and I would serve with powder sugar or a fresh fruit on top!.

That sounds yummy!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds delicious!.!.!. Just make it like you would regular french toast!. Banana Nut Bread will probably soak up the egg a lot faster than regular bread though because its so moist, so you may want to be quick and careful not to soak the egg all the way through the bread though!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

delicious idea but the bread may fall apart when you dip it into the egg mixture because it isn't as sturdy as regular yeast bread!. If it holds together long enough to get onto the fry pan, you got yourself some primo french toast!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Oh yeah, I make it all the time, just like regular bread
delicious
careful not to soak too long in wet mixture, it tends to fall apart more so than regular bread, so be fastWww@FoodAQ@Com

It tastes great!!!!
It is rather delicate so don't soak it very long and be careful turning it over!. Cut it a bit thicker than you would regular bread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds good to me- yes, do it just like regular french toast!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

sound good it would have a banana flaver!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds great!! Make it just like regular bread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
