I want to make nachos?!


Question: I want to make nachos!?
Hey there, so I want to make some nachos, the problem is, that whenever i try to melt the the cheese, it turns like rubbery!.x!.x;; It just turns out gross!.

How can I make my nachos half decent!? I'll be using some boca ground beef (Fake meat!.) Peppers, the chips, and the cheese!. help!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

well to me it seems you are melting it and leaving it in the microwave/oven or wherever you are melting it too long!. in the microwave try about 15-25 sec, i wouldnt suggest doing it any other way besides microwae or in the oven!. for the oven watch it carefully and just when it starts to have al the cheese melt take it out!. the heat will continue to mest the cheese even though its not in the oven/microwave!.

Nacho Cheese Sauce
NGREDIENTS

* 2 tablespoons butter
* 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
* 1 cup milk
* 7 slices processed American cheese or whatever kind of cheese you like
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
n a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and stir in flour!. Pour in the milk and stir until the mixture thickens!. Stirring constantly, mix in cheese and salt!. Continue to cook and stir until cheese has melted and all ingredients are well blended, about 15 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I always use shredded Mexican cheese!. (You can buy it prepackaged at the grocery store) and put it in the oven or microwave until the cheese melts!. I think it is way better in the oven!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Warm the chips first along with heated vegitarian refried beans!. Add the cheese last!. It will melt some!. BUT for great nachos, use the Campbells soup Nacho cheese soup!. That works!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Put the Velveeta cheese in a crock pot until it melts!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well cheese needs an oil introduced to it to melt right!. Velvetta cheese is made for melting if u would like an easier approchWww@FoodAQ@Com
