I need the apple cider to make the glaze that goes on top of it is there anything I can replace it with!? or is there a way I can make apple cider!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Apple juice is the first stages of making apple cider!. The cider gets formented!. If you have apple juice you can use this without any problem!.

If you don't have any apple juice to make the glaze, combine 1/2 cup water with one tsp!. lemon juice and 1 tbsp!. of sugar!. Heat to boiling and stir until the sugar is dissolved and than use as a glaze!.

Another good substitute would be if you have apple jelly!. You just need to melt this down and use a brush to glaze the strudel!.

I usually just melt butter and brush it over the strudel!. When it comes out of the oven, cool and sprinkile with confectioner's sugar!.
