Is there any way to air pop popcorn in a microwave?!
i have a popper i can use on the stove that i dont have to use oil in, but is there any way i can just toss it in the micro without using oil and have it pop without having a bunch of the old maids!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can put some kernels into a paper bag and close the top really well - fold over tightly a couple of times (do NOT use staples to close it)!.!.!.!. They should pop in the bag after a couple of minutes!.!.!.!.!.A lunch bag is a good sizeWww@FoodAQ@Com
First of all you will probably always get old maids!. Nature of the beast!. As pop corn ages the moisture dries up and it is the moisture that creates steam that makes the pop in pop corn!.
I don't think you could take your popper and put any old popper in the microwave and use it there!. You can however place your popcorn in a brown paper bag and pop the popcorn in that in the microwave!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They sell special plastic cornpoppers just for microwave user!. I have one and it's great, but I got it years ago in Spain!.
You could experiment with an old plastic container, by making holes in the lid, just make sure the kernels are grouped in the middle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can pop popcorn in a microwave in a pyrex dish (glass resistant to high heat and then cover it with microwave proof plate!. I have done this many times!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
