Do you have ideas for mother's day treats I could send in the mail?!

Question: Do you have ideas for mother's day treats I could send in the mail!?
I wanted to make truffles for my Mom, but they need to be refrigerated!. Whatever I send her will be in the mail for at least three days!. What else could I make that would be special, besides cookies, because I always send cookies as part of my parents Christmas present!. Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

let me offer a suggestion: chocolate! ILRF will send your mother a bar of the finest Fair Trade chocolate along with a greeting card from the Fairness in Flowers campaign, explaining how a donation was made to support workers who cut flowers in South America!. A card and a bar of chocolate are given to anyone who buys three raffle tickets!.

place your order by this Monday at 11am, before the raffle closes and the drawing is held!. Visit http://www!.unionvoice!.org/laborrights/ev!.!.!.

On the right hand side, in the box that asks "Will you support flower workers this May!?" choose "Yes" and press "Buy Raffle Ticket"!. On the next page, under '3 Tickets' select 'Quantity:1' and press next!. On the next page in fields 1 and 2, put your name and in fields 3-9 put your mom's info and proceed from there!.

You could of course go it alone, and buy a card and chocolate yourself but try thinking of it this way: $5 for a greeting card, $5 for a chocolate bar, $5 for postage - that's a $15 dollar value right there!. Plus, there is the added convenience of having ILRF take care of all this so you don't have to!. And don't forget that this gives you 3 chances to win one of four bouquets of fresh roses delivered anywhere in the U!.S!. And most important of all, you are helping the workers who grow America's flowers!.

Why is this important and why now in particular!? Here's a few reasons: first of all, the United States imports almost 80% of its flowers, with a majority of these coming from Colombia!. In Colombia, 100,000 workers grow, harvest, and package the flowers, often facing difficult and unsafe conditions!. Two-thirds of these workers suffer from health conditions because of the use of pesticides and other chemicals!. Their hardship is more than chemicals however!. Many workers have been sexually harassed or assaulted (65% of the workers are women)!.

Additionally, during peak seasons (such as around Mother's Day), workers will sometimes put in 15 hour days!. 15 hours of manual labor in terrible conditions and, for many women, additional time spent taking care of their families, leaves little time for sleep and workers suffer from exhaustion!. So when you make a contribution to a campaign to improve the working conditions on these plantations, you can be assured it is money well given!.

*To summarize:*
- Spend $30 on this years Mother's Day gift
- It goes to a good cause
- Your mom gets chocolate and a card (and maybe even flowers)
- Last chance! Place order this weekend!

And thanks very much to those of you who have made donations to the campaign!. We really appreciate your support and best of luck in the drawing!Www@FoodAQ@Com

A wonderful long letter telling her how much you love her and reminding her of things that the two of you did together as you were growing up!. This is what I would like to get from my kids who are 31 and 28!.

But if they don't send the letter it's okay because I will spend the day thinking about all of those special times on my own!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It sounds like you have sent her baked goodies in the past!. Why not send the same thing again!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
