Mushroom toppings?!


Question: Mushroom toppings!?
What is a good mushroom topping, lately i've been buying large mushrooms, turning them upside down topping them with chopped cherry tomatoes and cream cheese with herbs, bunging them in the oven for 20mins, they taste yummy, but what other toppings are good!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Serves 6

Ingredients
For the rarebit mixture
225g/8oz stilton cheese, crumbed
110g/4oz cheddar cheese, grated
50ml/2fl oz milk
30g/1oz flour
30g/1oz breadcrumbs
Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
1 egg yolk
? tsp English mustard powder
salt and white pepper
For the mushrooms
6 large field mushrooms, stalks removed
olive oil



Method
1!. To make the rarebit mixture, add the cheese and milk to a pan and heat until the cheese is melted, stirring to prevent it catching!.
2!. Add the breadcrumbs and flour and cook for 2-3 minutes stirring all the time!. Allow to cool before adding the remaining ingredients and mixing thoroughly!. Store in the fridge until ready to use!.
3!. To make the mushrooms, pre-heat the oven 200C/400F/Gas 6!.
4!. Place the mushrooms in an oven tray!. Divide the rarebit mix into six and place loosely into the mushroom cavities!. Pour over a little olive oil!.
5!. Bake for 10-15 minutes until the mushrooms are soft and the cheese bubbling and brown!.

take stem out of mushroom clean stem a little dice stem couple cloves of garlic parsely basil place in bowl dice cherry tomatoe or reg tomatoe salt chili pepper gr pepper bread crumbs olive oil mix together keep a little crumbley drizzle mushroom with olive oil place topping on room bake at 350 for 20min or fork tenderWww@FoodAQ@Com

Try this, layer them with;
brush with oil first:
caramelised onions
slices of beef tomato
good cheese slices
end with cheese and brown in the oven, TASTY Mmmmm!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Big open mushrooms (flats), light brush with oil, grill then cover with mixture of mashed potato, onion, English mustard , and mature Cheddar!. Grill until golden brown!. Have with a jacket potato!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

do a wicked lasagne with loads of herbs and tomatoes, and instead of using pasta slice some breakfast mushrooms and use them it is the greatest everWww@FoodAQ@Com

I don't know about toppings but crumbed mushrooms are awesome!.

Roll in flour, then dip in a beaten egg then roll in bread crumbs, deep fry it and you're rocking!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
