When you say slow cook!.!.!. do you mean cooking for hours at low temps with smoke and in-direct heat!? That is what slow cooking means to me!.
If you're not going to do that, then just grill them over direct high temperature heat!.
For boneless spare ribs, I'd give them a coating of dry rub!. You can use your favorite seasoning and let them marinade for 30 minutes minimum!.
Grill over direct heat to get a nice charred surface!. Cook until done!.!.!. should take about 30 minutes depending how thick they are!.
Personally, I don't like bbq sauce, but adding sauce at the end makes sense!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It of course depends on the thickness of the ribs, but I always heat the grill up (if it's gas) and that will sear the flavor in, then reduce your heat!. Always put the BBQ sauce on about 3 - 5 minutes before the ribs are done!. If you are using charcoal then wait until you have a medium heat!. Keep a close eye on whichever method you use, ribs have a tendency to cause flare ups!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You are so right!. Slow cooking will make them melt in your mouth, but I would put a mixture of barbeque sauce mixed with some broth (beef) into the pot to start with and cook on slow all day!Www@FoodAQ@Com
