How do you make pea soup?!


Question: How do you make pea soup!?
I had pea soup at a restaurant and have been craving it ever since!. Does anyone have any good recipes!? Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you have ever had Anderson's Pea Soup!.!.!. you know it is the best!
Ready in: 30-60 minutes
Difficulty: 3 (1=easiest :: hardest=5)
Serves/Makes: 8

Ingredients:
8 cups water
2 cups green split peas
1 rib celery -- coarsely chopped
1 large carrot -- chopped
1 small onion -- chopped
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1 dash red pepper
1 bay leaf
Salt
Pepper


Directions:

Combine water, peas, celery, carrot, onion, thyme, red pepper, and bay leaf in large kettle!. Season to taste with salt and pepper!. Boil vigorously 20 minutes, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer until split peas are tender!. Press soup through fine sieve and reheat just to boiling point!.

I'm not sure if you mean sweet peas or split peas!. But I would try and get a good ham bone!. Saute some onions, add the bone and some leftover meat if you have it!. Cook the bone until you have a bouillon and then add your peas!. Let them cook until soft!. Season with salt and pepper!. Remove the bone and puree the peas!. Add a pinch of mint and a dollop of sour cream when serving!. Enjoy!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Easy pea soup:
2 cans green peas; 1/4 cup chicken broth; 1/2 tsp cumin; 1 tsp vinegar; Fresh pepper to taste; blend it all in a beverage blender!. Thanks It! Enjoy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
