Food is fairly easy!. Rachel Ray and Paula Deen- a few of them are a little complicated- but you should be able to judge from the ingredient list and just scanning the directions to see if it's something you're up for!. Plus, most recipes are rated so you can look for those that are categorized as easy!. Oh, and get a slow-cooker!. The Rival slow-cooker cookbooks have many easy and scrumptious recipes!. learn the basic stuff!. How to cook rice on the stove , veggies and meat in the oven!. I think breakfast foods is the first I learned to cook!. Omeletes, fried eggs, pancakes out of bisquick!. Keep it easy then once you have the hang of it you can delve into more!. Try getting someone to show you how to make really basic things!. Some things will even come with directions!. Try things like speghetti, stirfrys, baked chicken or salmon, mashed potatoes, pancakes, muffins, maccaroni and cheese, grilled chesse & soup, oatmeal, cooked veggies, and other simple stuff like that!. My son is a third year student and last year he moved to the separate room out of the dorm!. I bought him george foreman grill, electric non-stick skillet ( good one, was on sale), he also has toaster-oven, micro and a little fridge!. He buys meat in the grocery store and makes himself all different kinds of dishes - steakes, chicken and so on!. In the morning he makes himself eggs on his skillet!. Toaster oven good for both - toasts and some chicken/fish-bake!. Micro - for oatmeal!.
You don't have to make sofisticated dishes, just the basic ones - try them at home before hand, you will get it fast!.
