Simple Shortbread Recipe?!
I'm looking for a simple shortbread recipe!. I made a batch about a month a go for a family gathering and my mother in law has asked me to make them again but I've lost the recipe I used!.!.!.AURGHHH! I need the recipe in metric and celcius please!. Your help is much appreciated!Www@FoodAQ@Com

SCOTTISH SHORTBREAD:
INGREDIENTS:
455 g butter
220 g packed brown sugar
560 g all-purpose flour
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C)!.
Cream butter and brown sugar!. Add 3 to 3 3/4 cups flour!. Mix well!.
Sprinkle board with the remaining flour!. Knead for 5 minutes, adding enough flour to make a soft dough!. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness!. Cut into 3x1 inch strips!. Prick with fork and place on ungreased baking sheets!.
Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 20 to 25 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1 tablespoon caster sugar
Directions
1cream butter and icing sugar together until light and fluffy!.
2add the flour!.
3use a little water to bring to a dough!.
4roll out to 2" thick!.
5cut into biscuits or bake as a round scored into 4 quaters gently with the back of a knife!.
6gentle pricking with a fork gives it the shortbread look, do this before cooking!.
7bake 325f for 30mins or until just starting to go golden at the edges, they will seem very soft but will harden when cooled!.
