Peanut butter and chocolate are a great combination, and the addition of crispy cereal makes this the perfect blend of flavors and textures!. It may look like real puppy chow, but this puppy chow recipe is guaranteed to taste a whole lot better! Remember, this is a humans only recipe because it contains chocolate!. Never give any of this puppy chow to your puppy or dog, as chocolate can make them very sick!.



Puppy Chow

Ingredients:


1/4 cup Butter
1 cup Chocolate Chips
1/2 tsp!. Vanilla
9 cups Crispix cereal
1-1/2 cups Powdered Sugar

Instructions:

1!. Combine butter and chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl!.

2!. Microwave for one minute then stir to blend all ingredients thoroughly!. Add 1/2 tsp!. vanilla!. Stir well!.

Here is the regular recipe so just substitute 1-1/2 cups of these chips!. My daughter-in-law never heard of using peanut butter and told me how she does it!. It is a different taste but still yummy!.

Ingredients:
9 cups Chex? cereal (any variety)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar


Preparation Directions:
-1!. Stove-Top Directions: Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside!. In 1-quart saucepan, heat chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter over low heat, stirring frequently, until melted!. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla!. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated!. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag!. Add powdered sugar!. Seal bag; shake until well coated!. Spread on waxed paper to cool!. Store in airtight container in refrigerator!.
