Answers:
to top it off it would be OK but using pure olive oil is not a good idea!.!.!.

olive oil has a lower burning point than vegetable oil (it burns quicker) and it could make your food taste bitter (if it burns)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Using olive oil in a fryer is okay with a few caveats!. You recognized the cost issue!. The other issue is smoke point!. Olive oil has a much lower smoke point (the temperature at which the oil smokes or burns) than vegetable oils!. Mixing the two together will lower the smoke point of the resulting oil!. If we're only talking one part olive to several parts vegetable, then you probably won't notice a difference!. All olive oil will smoke at about 325 degrees which is too low to do much frying!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

taste will be not very palatable also Olive Oil is not normally advised to be deep fried and is normally used raw as salad dressing etc!. but there is otherwise no problem also if you want to know about olive oil use try searching in www!.howstuffworks!.comWww@FoodAQ@Com

No it has a lower smoke point, and could catch fire and give the food unpleasant flavor!. You should get extra light olive oil or any other frying oil, instead!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

NO !.!.!. all of the chefs on Food Network advise against heating extra virgin olive oil!. It will smoke and could burn!.!.!. and it's a waste of expensive oil!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is prefectly okay to mix them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
