Best side for shish-kabobs?!

Question: Best side for shish-kabobs!?
They are chicken kabobs with red onion and green pepper!.

My fiance is weird about potatoes, so make them creative if that's your suggestion!.

Preferably something simply also!. Thanks! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
my fave with chickabobs is mac salad! Either the creamy mayo one with celery and carrots or one with vinegar dressing, oregano, olives fetta and tomato!. I also love cole slaw!Www@FoodAQ@Com

PLEASE EXCUSE THE LARGE PRINT; I HAVE HAD EYE SURGERY!. MY HUSBAND IS A CHEF AND I SELL FOOD TO RESTAURANTS!. THERE IS A PRODUCT HERE IN TEXAS THAT IS CALLED YELLOW RICE!. THE BRAND NAME IS MAHATMA!. IT IS VERY SIMPLE TO MAKE AND WITH THE SMALL BIT OF SAFFRON IN IT, IT MAKES A GREAT SIDE DISH FOR SHISH-KABOBS!. YOU JUST MEASURE THE WATER INTO THE PAN THAT YOU ARE GOING TO COOK IN AND WHEN THE WATER BOILS, YOU POUR IN THE RICE!. STIR THE RICE INTO THE WATER AND LOWER THE TEMPERATURE OF THE STOVE!. COVER THE RICE AND DO NOT LIFT THE LID FOR TWENTY MINUTES!. WHEN THE RICE IS DONE, FLUFF IT WITH A FORK AND SERVE IT WARM!. I THINK IT WILL BECOME A FAVORITE!

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR DINNER!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Rice is traditional!. Fried rice is better!. I have bought tiny red potatoes and microwaved them about 1/2 cooked, then skewered them with onion pieces and cooked them with the shish kebab!. (Start the hole in the potatoes for the skewer with an ice pick!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

couscous, very simple indeed!. Boil broth, add coucous!. Remove from heat and cover pot!. Let sit for 5 minutes!. Serve!.
buy near the rice or in the ethnic food aisle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
