You may have a contradiction in terms, maybe, depending on what you're really looking for, a "syrup/simple syrup" is usually the base for whatever flavor you choose!. By saying fresh fruit or juice you're giving the impression that you want a "healthy" or "natural" flavoring instead of a syrup!. Fresh fruit juice extracted by use of a juicer will have pulp in it which will collect on the top of your shaved ice as opposed to an already stained manufactured juice!. Suspension is also a factor, juice alone will sink to the bottom of the cup leaving little taste on the shaved ice as a whole, that's where the simple syrup comes into play, it changes the viscosity of your intended liquid by thickening!. Your intent and Idea is great!.
An alternative, simple syrup is 2 to 1 sugar to water heated till the sugar is melted, flavorings can be purchased online from the link below, food coloring is on the top shelf in the back of your cabinet!. Have fun!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
