Question: I am making a pork tenderloin with a port wine sauce but is there another wine i could use in place, like maybe
Can i use pinot noir or should i use a sweeter wineWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
port is a sweet wine, you can use whatever you like, but there is a reason the recipe calls for port!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If it is a cream sauce sherry or marsalla would be very nice!.

The only time I ever used a lot of red wine in a recipe it tasted vomitty!. Red wine in something already acidic like spaghetti sauce is pretty good or go easy on it - taste as you go!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ya gotta use the Port wine for this one!. It is very very cheap!. It is worth it to run out and buy some or you will ruin your recipe!. Drink the good stuff with the meal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

That recipe sounds delicious, why would you want to use any other wine for it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

My favorite is Sangria wine -- It adds a fruity taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

try a chianti or marsalaWww@FoodAQ@Com
